Mary (Yaross) Radaskiewicz, 103, formerly of Crescent Drive, Bristol, beloved wife of the late Joseph Radaskiewicz, entered the gates of heaven, Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, from Sheriden Woods. Born in Forestville on Nov. 24, 1904, she was a resident of Bristol for more than 60 years, Mary retired from the E. Ingraham Co. in the early 1960s, where she worked as a watch repairer. A long- time member of St. Stanislaus Church, she was its oldest parishioner.
An especially loving wife, mother and grandmother, she adored her family and loved cooking for them. As Christmas approached each year you would find her in the kitchen making her special pies and pierogi. Mary is survived by two daughters, Margraet Orzell of Bristol and Marie Downs of South Daytona, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Radaskiewicz; eight grandchildren, Raymond Downs, Robert Radaskiewicz, Elizabeth Deegan, William Radaskiewicz, Patricia Curry, John Orzell, Maggie Roy and Joseph Orzell; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Joseph, Mary was predeceased by a son, Robert Radaskiewicz; three brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, from the Stanley Suchodolski Funeral Home, 444 West St. (Rt 69), Bristol to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The family would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the St. Stanislaus Church Legion of Mary for its thoughtfulness and numerous visits and the staff at Sheriden Woods for the wonderful care provided.
